London based milliner Jane Taylor has rapidly caught the attention of the British press with her distinctive hand crafted headwear. Titles including Elle, Tatler, InStyle and The Daily Mail have all featured her millinery. Most recently, Tim Walker’s shoot for Love Magazine starring Kate Moss, and styled by Katie Grand, featured a Jane Taylor hat, ensuring a high-profile following.
Having trained under the Queen’s milliner Marie O’Regan, Jane also worked with Bruce Oldfield creating tailor-made pieces. Jane Taylor launched her first collection in 2008 from her beautiful design studio in Fulham, selling to private clients and dressing women for the Henley Regatta and Ascot. Jane Taylor quickly created a sensation, with a clientele including celebrities and members of the royal family. Paloma Faith, Rita Ora, the Countess of Wessex, Zara Phillips, the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, Princess Marie of the Netherlands and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark all wear Jane’s designs.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore two of Jane Taylor’s hats during the Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations, one to St. Pauls cathedral for the thanksgiving ceremony and the other when touring the Solomon Islands with The Duke of Cambridge.
Working closely alongside her clients, Jane Taylor’s millinery is breathtakingly unique. Taking inspiration from taxidermy, antique prints and couture designs; each piece is individually hand-crafted using an extravagant array of delicate feathers, highly sought after silks, distinctive pearls and Swarovski crystals. All hold a highly unique and contemporary feel that is dramatic and theatrical.
